EM has competences in the field of high resolution laser spectroscopy, applied to both fundamental physics and medical physics. He is collaborating to the realization of a facility for the production of radioactive atoms at the LNL – INFN, and to measurements of very high precision for the search of vacuum magnetic birefringence, with application to optical coating optimization studies for the Einstein Telescope project.
He is also involved in Teacher Education in Physics.
