From September 1st to 14th, 2025, Pisa will host the 8th edition of the INFIERI (INtelligent Signal Processing for FrontIEr Research and Industry) International Summer School series.
Previous editions of the school were held in Oxford (UK), Paris (FR), Hamburg (DE), São Paulo (BR), Wuhan (CN), and Madrid (ES).
The school is open to Master's and PhD students, as well as postdocs and young researchers, mainly physicists and engineers. The deadline for student registration to apply for scholarships (waiver of the registration fee or accommodation) is June 30th.
The school will be held exclusively in person, as laboratory sessions and close interactions with internationally renowned experts from academia and industry are fundamental elements of its tradition.
The Pisa edition will be co-organized by INFN, the University of Pisa, and the Scuola Normale Superiore, in collaboration with EGO/VIRGO and the University of Siena, and is sponsored by international universities, research centers, and industries.
Lectures and laboratory activities will take place at the Scuola Normale Superiore, UniPi, and INFN, with one day entirely dedicated to a visit to the VIRGO/EGO laboratory, including lectures in the laboratory's auditorium.
