The Degree Course in a Nutshell
Graduates in Physics and Advanced Technologies are problem solvers. With the cultural, scientific, and methodological preparation acquired, they can continue their education by accessing subsequent study paths after the three-year degree, such as Master's degrees and potentially continuing with a PhD, Masters, or specialization schools.They can also hold roles in professional fields such as business (development of decision-making models; design and construction of laboratories and industrial plants for the production and transformation of materials based on physics applications), research and development (development of nanotechnologies; technology transfer), environmental protection (protection from ionizing radiation and electromagnetic fields; measurement of noise and light pollution; detection of fine particles), biomedical (radiotherapy; diagnostic imaging; radiation protection), precision sensors, space and aeronautical applications, meteorology, financial markets (development of mathematical models for risk prediction; analysis of financial market data), research centers (public or private), journalism, and scientific communication.

The Degree Course in a Nutshell
The course aims to train experts in the environmental and natural fields, capable of analyzing and addressing the challenges related to the ecological crisis our planet is experiencing, through a multidisciplinary and innovative approach. The training provides a solid scientific foundation, integrated with practical and applied skills that allow understanding the complexity of natural ecosystems and their interactions with human activities. Students have the opportunity to acquire skills to address global challenges, such as biodiversity conservation, sustainable management of natural resources, and monitoring the impacts of human activities on the environment. The main objective is to prepare professionals who can actively contribute to the conservation and management of natural resources, enhancing natural capital and promoting a balance between economic development and environmental protection.

The Degree Course in a Nutshell
The course includes classroom lessons and practical activities, both in the laboratory and in the field, covering all aspects of Earth Sciences. Over the three years, students learn to:
- understand the evolution of Planet Earth, from its formation to the present day, through the study of global tectonics, seismicity, orogenic and volcanic processes.
- identify natural georesources, such as energy and water resources, minerals, and critical raw materials for the energy and digital transition, while providing information for their exploitation and sustainable management.
- contribute to the mitigation of current issues such as climate change, hydrogeological instability, seismicity, and geomorphological instability, framing geological processes in the correct spatio-temporal context and actively collaborating in land management and planning.

The Degree Course in a Nutshell
This degree course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and technical skills needed to understand and manage the complexity of projects regarding construction, infrastructure, monitoring, and land development. During the studies, innovative systems for design, construction, and monitoring, based on the implementation of modern geomatic technologies (e.g., GIS, CAD, BIM, remote sensing, digital photogrammetry) are used. Skills are enhanced through extensive laboratory work and 1,200 hours practical-evaluative internships.
The program qualifies students for the licensed profession of graduate surveyor (Italian professional qualification: geometra laureato).
The licensed graduate surveyor is a qualified expert in the field of civil and rural construction, as well as in territorial and environmental monitoring using modern geomatic technologies.

The Degree Course in a Nutshell
The course provides students with in-depth knowledge of ecotoxicology and environmental sustainability and management analysis. Human actions can be assessed in terms of sustainability from two points of view: the first involves making the resources used increasingly renewable, while the second aims to minimise the effects of human actions on the environment. The course develops on three levels. The first is theoretical and epistemological, aiming to understand the complexity of natural and anthropic systems and investigate their scientific basis. The second is more practical, developing techniques and indicators for environmental monitoring and assessment and studying transformation processes, ecosystems and territorial and economic systems. The third level enables students to develop an overall vision in order to design economic development scenarios based on what the American ecologist H. Odum refers to as 'prosperity without growth'.

The Degree Course in a Nutshell
The Master's Course aims to broaden and consolidate the foundational scientific and geological education students gain through their bachelor's degree. It provides both specialized skills for analyzing and interpreting geological processes, and the technical and professional training needed for the sustainable management of natural resources and the mitigation of geological hazards. Throughout the two-year program, classroom lessons, practical exercises, and field and laboratory activities enable students to acquire advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities through the application of innovative instruments and techniques, specifically in:a:
- collection, processing and analysis of geological, geotechnical, hydrogeological, mineralogical, petrographic, geochemical and geophysical data for the development of geological models;
- exploration, exploitation and sustainable management of water, mineral, stone and energy resources;
- characterization, modeling and mitigation of geological hazards and geo-environmental issues such as those related to seismic activity, slope instability, hydrogeological instability, coastal, and surface environmental contamination.
