The Department promotes technology and knowledge transfer activities to benefit the production system and public institutions for the prevention of natural hazards and the sustainable management of resources. These activities are developed through the promotion of university-industry collaborations, the creation of joint laboratories and, where possible, the establishment of new spin-offs, with the aim of strengthening a close link between research and applications in the production chain and supporting innovation.
