Senior lecturer. Research and teaching activities focus on Archaeometry and the Conservation of Cultural Heritage. Ongoing research, carried out with methods and tools specific to mineralogy, petrography and geochemistry, concerns: the mural paintings of the Sala della Pace, Palazzo Pubblico in Siena; the traces of ancient surface treatments in some sectors of the facades of the Cathedrals of Pisa and Siena; the marble statua of Apollo sauroctono and fusion earths and patinas of bronze reperts from San Casciano dei Bagni; 3D surveys and monitoring of environmental parameters of museums and hypogea.
