I am an environmental chemist and my research focuses on the development and application of sustainability indicators aimed at assessing environmental impact at different levels of analysis. In particular, my research work has concerned the agricultural sector and the waste sector, analyzing their impact and possible mitigations in terms of climate change, resource exploitation (water, land) and ecological deficit. The indicators mainly developed are the Life Cycle Assessment and the Ecological Footprint. A substantial part of my research concerns the study of recycling mechanisms for the promotion of circularity.
