Elisabetta Miraldi is involved in Pharmaceutical Biology; her research is focused on medicinal plants and in particular deals with Pharmaceutical Botany (which studies medicinal plants from a botanical point of view), Phytochemistry (which studies active molecules of plant origin) and Phytotherapy, a science that deals with the treatment and prevention of diseases using medicinal plants.
She is Director and Head of Masters and Specialization Courses relating to Phytotherapy and Medicinal Plants at the University of Siena.
