Enrico Tavarnelli was a NATO Research Fellow at the University of California Berkeley (USA), Researcher at the University of Basilicata (Italy), Councelor of the Geological Society of Italy, Vice President of the Italian Structural Geology Group (GIGS) and European representative of the Tectonics Studies Group (TSG). He is Full Professor at the University of Siena, where he coordinates the local Geology team of the National Project for Scientific Degrees (PLS-GEO). He is Advisor of the Journal of Structural Geology and Associate Editor of the Geological Society of America Bulletin. H-index ( as of may 2025): 27.
