1. Lecturer in Physical Geography, University of York, UK.

The Environment Department at the University of York continues to grow rapidly and will move in 2015 into a dedicated new building with extensive laboratory facilities at the heart of York’s Heslington West campus. As a component of its post-REF strategy, the Department is offering an exciting opportunity to be involved in this continued expansion.  The lectureship will be available for start from July 2014. You will have a developing profile of research in physical geography that will complement and enhance the existing strengths of the environmental/physical geography group in the Department (e.g. sea-level change, ice/ocean modelling, glaciology).  You will also contribute to the Department’s taught programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and to the expansion of the PhD research programme.

Informal enquiries about the post should be made to Professor Roland Gehrels (roland.gehrels@york.ac.uk).

Salary will be within the range: £36,661 - £45,053 a year.
