Since 2022 Associate Professor of the GEOS-03/B SSD and since 2020 President of the Center for Geotechnologies. Graduated in 1996, he obtained the Professional Master's degree in Geoinformatics in 1998 at the International Institute of Aerospace Survey and Earth Science ITC (Enschede, Netherlands). In 2001 he received his PhD and in 2004 he is researcher with tenured position. Qualified since 2018 as a full professor for the same SSD, he carried out geological research in Italy, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, Georgia, Libya, Turkey, Egypt and Ethiopia. He is a partner and coordinator of national and international research projects on rock slope stability, ornamental stone mining, soil erosion and subsidence monitoring and analysis of morphological and land use changes.
