
Le competenze acquisite nell’uso della tecnica fotometrica grazie alla collaborazione con astrofili e professionisti di tutto il mondo, ha dato all’Osservatorio la possibilità di contribuire alla ricerca scientifica nei settori degli asteroidi, delle stelle variabili, dei pianeti extrasolari e nella sorveglianza ottica di nuclei galattici attivi.
I dati raccolti nel corso delle sessioni osservative sono resi disponibili nei più importanti database internazionali e sono frequentemente utilizzati nella pubblicazione di articoli su riviste di assoluto rilievo scientifico.
